joint tenancy 재산의 상속절차는?

joint tenant 사망시 사망자의 소유지분은 생존자에게 자동으로 이전된다. 따라서 소유권이전과 관련된 별도의 법원절차를 밟을 필요가 없다.

카운티의 부동산 등기부상의 명의를 이전하기 위해서는 사망증명서 (certified copy of the death certificate)와 사망진술서(Affidavit of Death of Joint Tenant)가 필요하다.
